Friends of BG Dog Parks
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supporting community well-being through accessible, walkable, neighborhood dog parks in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Thank you to everyone and every dog who joined us for Dog Day Afternoon!
Saturday, September 14 from 1 - 4 PM at Ridge Park, located at 225 Ridge Street, was an important day for Friends of BG Dog Parks. This activity represented the first official event conducted at the future site of the pending BG Dog Park.
Activities included dog-themed crafts, Best Dressed Dog and Doggie Talent Show contests with prizes for first place and runners-up and a talk on Dog Park Etiquette. There was a table with information from Zoom Room and Planned Pethood and a 50/50 drawing benefiting the Friends of BG Dog Parks group.
Over 40 dogs and their families attended the off-leash event! See more pictures and follow us on Facebook at BG Dog Parks.
Friends of BG Dog Parks is entering a new phase of the organization’s effort to establish a walk-to dog park in Bowling Green with the signing of a lease agreement with the City of Bowling Green for the northern portion of Ridge Park and we're recruiting additional members to join our non-profit organization. While the future dog park will be free and open to the public, membership in the organization provides benefits for yourself and the community.

Guiding Principals

Use must be allowable as determined by the U.S. Department of Treasury
Avoid duplicated use of funds already in place for other programs and projects
Projects must have a community-wide impact
